“Cote d’Azur” is an artwork across 5 canvases completed in 2015. I wanted to capture a playful, colorful beach scene, showing people from all walks of life and body types, each contributing to the beauty of the whole. I grew up on the beach – even went to an elementary school on the beach – and so this scene is personal to me, remembering the large beach umbrellas of my childhood. The more you look at this piece, the more you will see. My signature is actually an nvd marking I used primarily in my youth on my art.
