Roulettes is my version of roses deconstructed into abstract shapes and fall colors. This also marks my developing a new technique to create thick layers of colors. “Roulettes” is an homage to modern art. I enjoyed the challenge of taking a traditional subject – roses – and bringing them to an abstract vision. I wanted this artwork to have lots of movement as well as rich colors.
